Have you wanted to learn how to do handstands?
Inspired, although scared to dive into the world of inversions and don’t know the safest way to start? Let me help you!
In this 4-week series, you’ll learn the basic foundations to start your handstand practice and we’ll go through the progressions for those that have an already established foundation. We’ll look at technique, body awareness, drills, personal practice, and how to successfully assist someone in learning how to do a handstand safely.
Join me on this inversion journey that will last a lifetime! No experience necessary. The hardest part is getting through the door, let me coach you on how to do the rest! You can do it. Life sometimes makes more sense upside down than right side up.
The Fire Within
The Fire Within is an asana and pranayama practice where we learn to create the power, focus, and heat to burn away our doubts and live an exponential life.
We will explore ways to incorporate Kapalabahti (Breath of Fire) into our practice and ignite change throughout our bodies. The practice is strong but is designed to be accessible to all levels so whether you are new to yoga or an experienced yogi, there will be a practice applicable for you. As the practice progresses, we lay the foundation so that we can learn to float on our hands. The workshop culminates in learning ways how to succeed in doing Astavakrasana (Eight-Angle Pose) and de-mystify this posture. At the completion of the practice, we will do a silent meditation and integrate the asanas with our breath and mind so that we can leave empowered and ready to finish 2018 with a bang.
Come and experience the Power of Change and how Yoga can take you on a path of discovery and unlock your true potential.

Within the Embers
This yin-inspired class is about going deep and releasing the tension and finding the calming energy in our practice. We will work through the shoulders, hips and spine and help release the deeper recesses of the body.
As the practice progresses and the fires of life begin to die down, we can harness this subtle energy and let it flow throughout our bodies, nourishing and restoring ourselves. As we come to the end of the practice, we will work through some pranayama practices that nurture our bodies and bring about calm and balance. Practice will conclude with a mediation to integrate the effects of the mind, body and breath so that we can emerge relaxed, focused, and ready to make 2018 and into 2019 the time to be in the present and live the life we are destined for.
This workshop is for all levels and can be practiced by new comers and experienced yogis looking to slow down and be revitalised. You are welcome to join in the previous Fire Within workshop or you can attend this workshop separately. I look forward to sharing this journey with you.

Asana Lab: The Course
with Amy L. Green
WELCOME TO THE LABORATORY...
This 75-minute workshop-style class will give you the chance to progress your practice.
Each session will include a warm-up and break down of a pose (or group of poses, e.g., arm balances), exploring variations and use of props.
Since some of the poses we'll cover in the lab are more challenging and require more development and instruction (e.g., arm balances, headstand, shoulderstand, forearm balance), this is your chance to ask questions and work on getting to the next level in your practice in a safe and sustainable way.
This is a great option for those that already have some yoga experience--not for complete beginners. Limited spaces are available to ensure maximum teacher-student time.
If you want to take your practice to the next level, I invite you to join me in the lab.
