Your 1st session includes a Posture Analysis. Based on the assessment and your fitness goals Amy will create a personalised training program for you. Just like with any new exercise program, please make sure your healthcare provider has given you the "okay" BEFORE you come in. And, if they have told you to do specific exercises, be sure to let Amy know what they are.
When learning any new skill, it takes a while for the neuromuscular connections to build up (meaning that it takes a while for your brain and body to get on the same page). You wouldn't expect to be Mozart after one piano lesson, or to become Monet from a few art classes... It's the same with this...and consistency is key! It's best to commit to 8-12 sessions (once or twice a week) to start. At that point, you'll be well on your way to seeing and feeling results.
Your Private Sessions will include Yoga Therapy poses, Pilates Reformer exercises on the "Rolls-Royce" of reformer machines, and some Foundation Training exercises. Amy's experience and knowledge in these modalities will help to round out your fitness regime, all in one session.

We all have muscular imbalances, skeletal variations and past injuries that affect us on some level...that's just the nature of LIFE. Bringing the body back into balance, and becoming aware of our postural habits and how to improve them makes Amy's one-on-one sessions invaluable for developing better movement patterns (and feeling better!) now, and in the years to come.
